Kelly Sports Programmes

Kelly Sports is coming to a school near you in Term 4! There are two programmes available in Term 4 for your child:

  • NEW Summer Sports Programme (Year 1 to 6)
  • Go For Gold Programme (Year 4 to 6)

Summer Sports
After-School Programme

The 6-week Summer Sports Programme includes a focus on a mixture of Summer sports including Cricket, T-Ball, Tennis and Athletics which gives children the chance to develop skills and learn the ins and outs of a range of these sports and events.

There will also be testing at the start and end of the programme on such skills as jumping, throwing and running. The testing encourages children to work hard to improve their performance and reach their goals.

Everyone can benefit from this programme, from beginners to competent athletes, any age. Brand new Kelly Sports games and drills are used to hone the skills learnt in each sport and make it more enjoyable for all children involved.

Please contact AJ if you are interested or require further information on Summer Sports Programme on 021 8KELLY or aj@kellysports.co.nz

Go For Gold Academy Programme

The 6-week Go for Gold Academy Programme is designed for 7 to 12 year olds who have the drive and/or potential to be future representatives in their chosen sports.  This Elite Academy programme assesses children using a range of tests at the start and end of the programme in five various areas of fitness, speed, strength, agility, flexibility and endurance.

During the course of the programme the children will be trained and challenged in each of the specific areas of fitness in order to improve their overall sporting ability along with being taught about goal setting and nutrition to complement their fitness.

Andrew (AJ) has been the Manager for the Kelly Sports Dunedin for over a year now, and is full of passion, both for sport and working with children. He was previously a coach for two years for Kelly Sports in Hamilton while completing his Bachelor of Management Studies at the University of Waikato.

Andrew is a strong believer that sport should be a major part of everyone’s life and it is essential that children of today get as much of it as possible, for both their physical and mental wellbeing. He plays many sports including Football, for Mosgiel, Cricket, Golf and Australian Rules.

“Kelly Sports is fantastic – our programmes build skills, confidence and discipline on the sporting field which also transfers into the classroom, and the best thing is that kids have fun while they are learning”
