Fundamental Skills Brochure
Keep Fit Programme
Mini-Olympics
End of Term Sports Days/EOTC Sports Days
The in-school curriculum programmes we run have been hugely successful. The Fundamental Skills programme teaches children the basics of kicking, throwing, catching, striking, running and jumping in a fun and structured environment. Teacher and student self-assessment sheets are available for this programme. These can be included in children’s work or report folders.

"It's great to see how much fun Kelly Sports kids have during a session", Liam Messam
Athletics: We focus on general components and techniques required for most athletic events, e.g. jumping, sprinting and throwing. We do this through fun games using dkills relating to athletics. We also provide assistance with running school-wide athletics days. The Keep Fit programme is a fantastic fun. The whole school aims to improve their fitness over a term through fitness testing and a variety of relay type activities. Children are assessed at the beginning, the middle and the end of the term by Kelly Sports Coaches. We then provide the teachers with fun relay activities to help improve their fitness throughout the term. This is a great programme for children aged from Year 3 or 4 through to Year 8 with the whole school encouraging each other to improve their results by the end of the term.If you’re thinking about holding an end of term or end of year sports day at your school or you need ideas for your Education Outside the Classroom Weeks (EOTC), then contact us as we have the experience, the coaches and the equipment to make this an awesome day for both students and teachers. These sports days can be for your whole school, class or syndicate. We can provide all the coaches, or organise the day so your teachers are involved as well. Let us know if you’d like further info or click on the Mini-Olympics or Sports Days brochures above.
Profile – Paul Jamieson
Manager, Kelly Sports Rodney and General Manager Kelly Sports Auckland & North Auckland
Paul has a background in the technology industry, and spent 2002 to 2008 in General Management and Business Relationship roles. “I’m very passionate about kids and really enjoy spending time talking and playing with them. I am an avid fan of all sports, and love the emotional roller coaster ride that sport gives us. I believe sport helps teach us a lot about essential life skills, communication, confidence, respect and consideration as well as giving children a place to channel their energy. It is therefore paramount that our children have some exposure to sport.”
Paul is very much a family man. When not working he loves to spend time with his family. He has a wife Karen, and three children, Caleb 10, Briar 9 and Luke 5.
Paul is actively involved with the Hibiscus Coast community, volunteer coaching junior level cricket and rugby, and he also sits on the Board of Trustees at Orewa Primary School. Paul is also a Trustee for Fighting For Our Youth Trust, an organisation set up to help disadvantaged and at risk youth.
Sport has played a huge part in Paul’s life, and he has represented New Zealand in Indoor Bowls and won numerous regional and national titles.
