Paul Jamieson, General Manager, Kelly Sports New Zealand
Paul has a background in the technology industry, and spent 2002 to 2008 in General Management and Business Relationship roles. “I’m very passionate about kids and really enjoy spending time talking and playing with them. I am an avid fan of all sports, and love the emotional roller coaster ride that sport gives us. I believe sport helps teach us a lot about essential life skills, communication, confidence, respect and consideration as well as giving children a place to channel their energy. It is therefore paramount that our children have some exposure to sport.”
Paul is very much a family man. When not working he loves to spend time with his family. He has a wife Karen, and three children, Caleb 10, Briar 8 and Luke 4.
Paul is actively involved with the Hibiscus Coast community, volunteer coaching junior level cricket and rugby, and he also sits on the Board of Trustees at Orewa Primary School.
Sport has played a huge part in Paul’s life, and he has represented New Zealand in Indoor Bowls and won numerous regional and national titles.

Robbie has worked in the sports industry for the past 23 years. A qualified teacher with a BA in education and psychology, he has specialised in the running of junior sports leagues throughout the Wellington region. Robbie has represented New Zealand in both indoor cricket and table tennis. He also played for the Wellington Firebirds Cricket team from 1992 to 1998. During these years he captained the Wellington University Senior cricket team to three successive National Club Championship titles. He also captained the New Zealand Indoor Cricket team from 1987 to 1998. He is now High Performance Manager at Cricket Wellington.
Since retiring from playing sport Robbie has coached a number of teams including the New Zealand Indoor Cricket team from 2001 to 2003. He has also coached the Wellington Blaze Women’s Cricket Team and the New Zealand A Women’s Cricket team. Robbie is extremely impressed with the programmes Kelly Sports has to offer schools and parents to encourage more kids in sport.
“I believe that sport has so much to offer young people. It improves fitness, builds confidence and communication skills, teaches respect and consideration, which all lead to being better prepared for life.”
Jo Murray, Manager, Kelly Sports New Zealand
Jo Murray has worked in the sports industry for the past 22 years. She started out at the Hillary Commission (now known as SPARC) working there for 10 years in the areas of coaching, women’s sport and Push Play. More recently Jo spent six years as Operations Manager of the International Rugby Academy, working with former All Black, Murray Mexted, to build the business up from its inception. With Kelly Sports New Zealand growing so rapidly she left there to work with her husband Robbie Kerr on Kelly Sports.
In her playing days, Jo represented Wellington in cricket and netball. She also coached the Wellington Women’s 2nd XI and Under 23 teams before taking a break when she had her two children, Jess and Amelia. With both children mad-keen on sport, Jo is enjoying being able to volunteer again – getting involved in the sports Jess and Amelia play. She is Convener of the Olympic Harrier Junior Track and Field Club and Junior Coaching Coordinator for the juniors’ section of the Harrier club.
Jo is enjoying working with Kelly Sports and expanding it throughout New Zealand. After many years with her and Robbie working in different jobs in the sports industry she thinks it’s great that they are now working together in an industry they are both passionate about.
